Client Agreement

This agreement is between: Melani Schweder of A Brighter Wild (Coach) and __________________ (Client) whereby the Coach agrees to provide wellness services for _______________ (Client) focusing on _______________________(topics/results/outcomes/goals pertaining to this agreement.)

Description of Services

1. Wellness Coaching

Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

2. Reiki Healing

Reiki is an ancient healing technique whereby positive energy is shared with the Client, as channeled and directed by the Coach. This is a gentle, non-invasive, vibrational healing modality that can be shared with anyone, anywhere in the world.

3. Intuitive Energy Reading

Energy readings are multi-modality sessions, focused on assessing the Client’s vibrational field, and receiving intuitive guidance from the Client’s angels and spirit guides. These sessions are useful in identifying potential energetic blocks, and providing spiritual support for personal transformation.

All services provided by Coach are meant for educational and entertainment purposes only, and are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. Services provided by Coach are not designed to diagnose or treat any disease or illness, and Coach does not make any medical claims of this nature.

Responsibilities

1. Coach agrees to maintain the code of ethics and standards of behavior for independently-contracted health coaches, Reiki healers, and herbalists.

2. Client is responsible for creating and implementing their own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results. As such, the Client agrees that the Coach is not and will not be liable for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach. Client understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

3. Client understands that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, mental, medical or other qualified professionals and will seek independent professional guidance for such matters.

4. Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance, and create the time and energy to participate fully in scheduled sessions.

Services

The parties agree to engage in scheduled sessions, lasting between 30-90 minutes each. These sessions are scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly, as per verbal agreement between Coach and Client. Sessions are administered by either phone or through VoIP applications like Google Meet or WhatsApp. If Client is outside the United States, they agree to use such applications, and agree to conduct sessions in an area with reliable internet service. The Coach will be available to Client by text, email, and voicemail in between scheduled meetings as defined by the Coach.

Additional Support

For monthly coaching packages that include support outside of structured calls- Coach and Client will agree on a preferred communication platform, which may include email, text, or WhatsApp. Coach will provide a modest amount of check-in support, including answering questions and offering encouragement/accountability to Client. For in-depth discussions and troubleshooting, Coach may suggest that topics will be reserved for structured coaching sessions. Coach will respond to Client messages within 48 hrs, except for weekends and holidays or vacations.

Schedule & Fees

Fees are discussed and agreed upon, depending on the program package or individual session chosen by the Client.

Payment should be submitted prior to sessions, either through single payment, upfront package purchase, or monthly installments. Payments are accepted via PayPal, Square, Venmo, or Stripe, as accessed through Coach’s preferred program of Acuity. If Client wishes to change payment method in between monthly installments or package purchases, they will update this through Acuity before the payment due date.

Additional recommended supportive materials, supplements/remedies, programs, and memberships are not included in the coaching fees, and are the financial responsibility of the Client.

Procedure

The time of the sessions and/or location will be determined by Coach and Client based on a mutually agreed upon time. The Coach will initiate all scheduled sessions and will call the Client at the phone number provided, or provide the corresponding Google Meet conferencing link. It is the responsibility of the Client to click on the appropriate conferencing link at the session time.

If the Client will be at any other number for a scheduled call, or needs to change communication platform for any reason, they agree to notify the Coach prior to the scheduled appointment time.

Confidentiality

This coaching relationship, as well as all information (documented or verbal) that the Client shares with the Coach as part of this relationship, is bound to confidentiality under coaching ethics, but is not considered a legally confidential relationship (like in Medicine or Law). The Coach agrees not to disclose any information pertaining to the Client without the Client’s written consent. The Coach will not disclose the Client’s name as a reference without the Client’s consent. Confidential information does not include information that: (a) was in the Coach’s possession prior to its being furnished by the Client; (b) is generally known to the public or in the Client’s industry; (c) is obtained by the Coach from a third party, without breach of any obligation to the Client; (d) is independently developed by the Coach without use of or reference to the Client’s confidential information; or (e) that the Coach is required by law to disclose.

According to the ethics of the profession, topics may be anonymously and hypothetically shared with other coaching professionals for training, supervision, mentoring, evaluation, and further coach professional development and/or consultation purposes.

Cancellation and Lateness Policy

Client agrees that it is the Client’s responsibility to notify the Coach at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled call/meeting if the client cannot make the session.

No-Shows: Client will be billed for a missed session if Client does not show up, and no refunds will be given. Coach will wait for 10 minutes (for 30-min sessions) or 15 minutes (for 60-min sessions), before the Client is noted as not turning up for the session. Client also understands that if they are more than 10 minutes late for a session, they forfeit their right to the full scheduled time.

Extenuating and emergency circumstances will be taken into consideration by the Coach, when determining the reschedule options for sessions.

Limited Liability

Except as expressly provided in this agreement, the Coach makes no guarantees or warranties, express or implied. In no event will the Coach be liable to the Client for consequential or special damages. Notwithstanding any damages that the Client may incur, the Coach’s entire liability under this agreement, and the Client’s exclusive remedy, will be limited to the amount paid by the Client to the Coach under this agreement for all services rendered up until the termination date.

This is the entire agreement of the parties, and reflects a complete understanding of the parties with respect to the subject matter. This agreement supersedes all prior written and oral representations.
