Hello dear friends!

Another month is upon us, and next week, we'll be enjoying another new moon. This moon brings the beginning of Aries season. I wanted to share this blog, to give you a little deeper understanding of the energies at play this month, and to give context for my upcoming new moon reiki event

If you need to brush up on the phases of the moon, and how we can use this wisdom in our own practice, check out this article first!

Each new moon is our chance to plant new seeds and set intentions for the month ahead, and each new moon also carries a special meaning, depending on the astrological sign that it is in. Each of the 12 zodiac signs has its own energy, theme, and particular vibration that we can tune into now. This new moon, in the sign of Aries, is inviting us into a place of renewal, rebirth, and personal power.

So, what does all of this mean for us? Let's dig in.

Aries, symbolized by the ram, is the first sign of the Western zodiac, and brings with it a brand new season, around the time of the spring equinox. The new moon in Aries is considered the “kickoff” for the astrological year, and this energy of starting fresh, of growth, and of rebirth is here for your own empowerment. Because Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, it marks a time of turbulence and powerful forward motion. The horns of the ram are poised and ready to plow a path towards whatever lies ahead.

Some of the great characteristics of the Aries sign, and thus, the new moon in Aries, include: courage, confidence, determination, focus, optimism, and honesty. However, just like every sign has a shadow side, Aries can also be prone to things like: impatience, impulsivity, moodiness, aggression, and irritability. Around the new moon in Aries, pay attention to these dynamics at play within yourself, and see if you can direct this momentum in a positive direction, so you can make headway on a new project or undertaking.

Just as the sign of Aries, the ram, is often portrayed with its head forward, leaning confidently ahead, now is your invitation to dive “head first” into something new, with zest and vigor. This youthful strength and energy is available to you each spring, as the new moon arrives in this astrological sign. The new moon in Aries is the ideal time for planting the seeds of a new ambition, to touch back in with your own internal energy reserves, and to make a plan to leap forward, trusting that your efforts will reward you in time.

Also, take the time during this new moon, to mindfully explore areas in your life where you might be too forward, to “hard-headed,” or possibly too aggressive. The Aries energy can be awfully stubborn and tends to push ahead, even without thinking things through completely. In the quiet of this new moon, allow yourself to channel your inner ram, your inner warrior, and with clear and focused intention, move forward on a project or towards a goal that brings you joy.

The abundance of springtime is here to support your manifestation; just try not to get ahead of yourself!

Your invitation for the new moon in Aries

Create a sacred space and time to do a special ritual for the Aries new moon. Since Aries is a fire sign, and also ruled by the planet Mars, we can utilize this energy to give power to our goal-setting.

On your altar, or other special space in your home, gather the following: at least one red candle (you can have more, if desired), a piece of nice paper or parchment, a pen, and a wax seal/stamp if desired. Light your candle(s) and settle into a quiet headspace, feeling the pulse of the powerful Aries energy within you. On your piece of paper, write out your goals for this month/year, wording them in a positive or affirmative way. Write, in detail, the things you wish to manifest, and give thanks for the Aries strength to make these dreams into reality. Sign your name at the bottom, fold up the paper, and use the red candle wax to seal it. Keep this displayed on your altar this month.

So, my friends...have you been noticing any of this Aries energy coming up for you? Don't forget to join me for this month's new moon reiki event, to help you integrate some of these new dynamics, and to help you tap into your motivation for new projects this spring!

Happy manifesting! And as always...
